If that doesn’t make the upcoming revival even more real, we don’t know what would.

Original Story: The revival of “The X-Files” on Fox is assembling key production personnel and stars in Vancouver to begin shooting imminently.

According to tweets from executive producer Glen Morgan and star David Duchovny, the city in British Columbia, Canada has already received key department heads, with sets ready to receive stars, crew, and ca,eras. See some of the tweets from Morgan below.

Those tweets from just a few days ago make it clear enough, but one of the biggest signs that the truth is returning to Vancouver is the arrival of its biggest seeker: Agent Fox Mulder, played by actor David Duchovny.

“The X-Files” recently secured actor Joel McHale (“Community”) as a guest as well. According to The Hollywood Reporter, McHale will play the role of Tad O’Malley: a broadcast news anchor of a popular politically conservative internet news network who, through some happenstance, ends up becoming an unlikely ally for Agent Mulder.

Also returning to the cast are Gillian Anderson as the co-lead Agent Scully, Mitch Pileggi as Assistant FBI Director Walter Skinner, and William B. Davis as the elusive “Cigarette Smoking Man.” Show creator Chris Carter will be writing the scripts for all six episodes, and is also staying aboard as executive producer.

“The X-Files” is scheduled to premiere on Fox Sunday, January 24th, 2016. For more on the show as it takes shape, keep it locked on GeekNation!
