We already know that Chris Pratt (“Parks and Rec,” Guardians Of The Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help, Spider-Man 3), Ty Simpkins (Insidious), and Nick Robinson (The Kings Of Summer) have joined the latest installment in the Jurassic universe, but it’s the latest round of casting that’s caught my eye.

Deadline first broke the news that Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, “Law And Order: CI”) AND Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi) have also signed on to the Colin Trevorrow-directed/Steven Spielberg-produced 3D dinosaur fest, but it was The Wrap who provide character details that give us an idea of what to expect from the next entry in the juggernaut franchise. Khan will play Patel, the billionaire founder of Patel Corporation (and owner of a NEW Jurassic Park) and D’Onofrio will portray the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Apparently D’Onofrio’s character looks a completely normal “family man” on the outside, but that’s just a front – he’s really a bad dude.

Considering D’Onofrio’s played the gamut of love interest (Mystic Pizza) to alien-occupied body (Men In Black) to a guy in a garage a little girl thinks is Thor (Adventures In Babysitting) to straight-up brain broken nutcase in Full Metal Jacket, I have ZERO doubt that D’Onofrio will bring some spice to the park like Jeff Goldblum did in the first two Jurassic Park films.

Not to mention the last truly horrible bad guy he’s played was fourteen years ago in the 2000 Jennifer Lopez iffy-fest known as The Cell (HE was great, the rest was “meh”), so I’m completely stoked to see D’Onofrio play the bad guy once again!

The 3D fest known as Jurassic World is slated to hit theatres June 12, 2015.

Well played, Universal Pictures. You clever girl.
