As we get closer and closer to the madness of San Diego Comic-Con, more and more networks and shows are unveiling their plans for the convention. Deadline reports that AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and Starz’ “Outlander” are the latest two series to announce panels at the convention, so I figured it’d be nice to give you the details since some of you are already planning out your schedules.

“The Walking Dead” panel will take place on Friday, July 25th, from 12:20-1:20pm in Hall H, and will feature panelists including Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman, Michael Cudlitz, executive producer and showrunner Scott Gimple, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer Robert Kirkman, executive producer David Alpert, and special effects make-up supervisor Greg Nicotero. Chris Hardwick of Nerdist and “Talking Dead” fame will moderate the panel, and there will be autograph signings from 1:50-2:50 PM in booth #4237 in addition to a huge “Walking Dead Escape” event outside at Petco Park, which we’re hoping to have someone from the site cover while we’re there in San Diego.

Outlander Starz

As for “Outlander,” the upcoming Starz show from Ron Moore (“Battlestar Galactica”), will have a panel on Friday at 2:15 PM in room 6A – a far cry from the legendary Hall H. Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Lotte Verbeek, and Outlander author Diana Gabaldon will be present to talk about the show with the fans who show up for this one, but considering the romantic series hasn’t aired yet – it debuts on August 9th – I’m guessing this one won’t be nearly as crowded as many of the convention’s main events.

Looking forward to SDCC… I have a feeling you could be wrong about the crowd in 6A for Outlander. I’m secretly hoping you are right for selfish reasons. Glad Outlander is on your radar, though!
