‘Willy Wonka’ and ‘Blazing Saddles’ Are Returning to Theatres For One Weekend Only

By September 2, 2016

The passing of the late, great Gene Wilder earlier this week shook the world it seemed, as one of cinema’s most iconic faces and influential comedic voices died at the age of 83. The amount of Willy Wonka, Young Frankenstein, and Blazing Saddles images and gifs that have flooded the internet since are countless at this point, and it looks like you’ll be able to honor Wilder again this weekend as well.

AMC Theatres, similar to their showings of Purple Rain after Prince’s death earlier this year, will be bringing both Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Blazing Saddles back to the big screen for this weekend only. The films will be playing in 55 theatres throughout the country, with Wonka playing at 5pm and Blazing Saddles playing at 7:30pm, with tickets selling for just $5 each.
