Zack Snyder Promises Enough Batman V. Superman In ‘Batman V. Superman’

By February 5, 2016

Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice seems more overstuffed with goodness than an overstuffed Hot Pocket full of dreams. I mean, depending on how you feel about Hot Pockets. There’s a lot of good stuff going on here is my point.

Microwavable treats aside, fans biggest worry with the upcoming Batman V. Superman seems to be that it won’t feature enough Batman V. Superman. Here we are dealing with Lex Luthor, the dawn of the freaking Justice League, a new Batman, Alfred and now Doomsday for crying out loud.

All that sounds wonderful, but fans were promised Batman throwing fisticuffs with Superman and you don’t just give that the Mike Tyson/Rhonda Rousey treatment. You relish in it.

Talking to Hall of Justice, Zack Snyder says shutup (not really) and don’t worry about it. This Justice League stuff barely registers:

I really feel like this movie…I mean, as far as the other Justice League characters go it’s very small roles. It’s a whisper that they exist. Except for Wonder Woman, we see her pretty well. But the movie is about Batman and Superman and we really do take the time with them, and we really do drill down on the ‘why’ of them, and what they stand for, and their beliefs, and them as characters. That’s pretty much the ‘why’ of the movie. But again, it does begin the conversation that these guys are out there.

Mr. Snyder, I speak with no absolute certainty but I do believe you may have just pleased the council. Of course fans want Justice League; give em’ those goods all day long. But first, you said Batman and Superman were going to fight and that’s what the people seem to want. Looks like the people are going to get it.
