‘Arrested Development’ Cast Heading to ‘Inside the Actors Studio’

Arrested Development - Bateman and Lipton

We may be waiting awhile before any new episodes of “Arrested Development” arrive, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get some more action from the Bluth family in the meantime.

Bravo has announced that the cast of the once-canceled and Netflix-resurrected comedy series will sit down with champion interviewer and series guest star James Lipton on “Inside the Actors Studio” next month. Though not everyone will be present, most of the principal cast will appear including Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, and series creator Mitch Hurwitz. (It’s a bummer that Michael Cera and David Cross can’t be there.)

Still, this should make for a memorable episode, especially since Lipton famously guested on the show as the theatrical Warden Gentles, a role that was tailor-made for the drama school dean. EW has some information from the episode where Hurwitz reveals two of the recurring guest stars he had in mind from the pilot stage, ““As I was in the pilot phase, I was already thinking about interesting casting, and it was Liza Minnelli and you.” And we know he got both of them and plenty of other great guest stars throughout the series’ run.

This episode of “Inside the Actors Studio” will premiere on Bravo in two weeks on Thursday, November 7th, at 8pm ET. Be sure to set your DVRs so you don’t miss it. You don’t want to make a terrible mistake like Gob.
