‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Trailer Unites DC’s Holy Trinity

By December 2, 2015

Look, I’m not saying I’m Batman, I’m just saying that no one’s ever seen me and Batman in a room together.

As we all know following the sneak peek earlier this week, tonight was the debut of the latest trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, courtesy of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. After a brief, playful bit between Jimmy and Ben Affleck, they cut to the chase and dropped the trailer. So this trailer was- I just- I can’t- I- I don’t- I mean- I- just take a look.

Guys, this movie’s gonna be good. This movie’s gonna be so good.

Check out the official synopsis below:

“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

After some people felt that the Comic-Con trailer showed too much, this trailer just trots along and shows that it barely scratched the surface. But even then, it’s careful with what it does show. It gives us a better idea of what the Clark/ Bruce dynamic will be like as well as the Superman/ Batman dynamic. And we get what I would call our first good sense of what we can expect from Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, and I have to say I’m really warming up to it. And when it comes to spoilers, the trailer only gives us what fans have already surmised, that it looks like Batman and Superman will become BFFs and team up with Wonder Woman against what looks like Doomsday.

One would hope that this film would help people who didn’t like Man of Steel to see the light. This film looks awesome and I’m so excited I can feel it in my bat-bones.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be released March 25th, 2016.
