‘Beauty and the Beast’ Live-Action Teaser Revealed, Trailer Premiere Date Announced

By May 22, 2016

Following The Jungle Book and Pete’s Dragon this year, the next film in Disney’s continuing live-action adaptation lineup is the Emma Watson-led Beauty and the Beast, directed by Bill Condon, and sporting a fairly incredible cast that includes Dan Stevens as The Beast, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad, Ian McKellen, Stanley Tucci, and more.

There were brief shots from the film shown during last year’s D23 Expo, but so far, nothing official from the movie has been released, though it looks like that’s all about to change.

The film’s official Facebook account released the first teaser from the upcoming live-action adaptation, with the full trailer set to arrive tomorrow morning on Good Morning America. Check out the teaser below:

Unlike all of Disney’s other live-action adaptations, including the most recent Jungle Book, the new Beauty and the Beast film is set to be a full-blown musical, keeping all of the songs (we think) from the 1990s film that has helped to make it stand the test of time over the years ever since its release. While some of the cast members’ singing abilities are still unknown, the sheer level of talent packed amongst them alone should be enough to make this one of the more promising of Disney’s live-action reimaginings.

We’ll get our first official look at the film tomorrow though, and it’ll be interesting to see how much the music itself is shown or teased throughout, and how much will be left for later trailers and the film’s release next year.

Beauty and the Beast is set to hit theatres on March 17th, 2017.
