‘Deadpool’ DVD and Blu Ray Release Date Announced

By April 1, 2016

Deadpool is arguably, one of the biggest surprises and smash hits in comic book movie history. After not only receiving critical acclaim before and after its theatrical release, the film then went on to shatter all of its box office expectations, while also breaking a few financial records along the way as well. Suffice to say, it wasn’t a bad way to welcome the Merc with a Mouth back onto the big screen.

Now, Ryan Reynolds has announced that the film will be made available on blu ray and DVD on May 10th, though there will not be VHS or Laser Disc versions made available for it as pictured above. Dammit. You can however, pre-order through the release through Amazon by clicking right here.

As of right now, Deadpool is the highest-grossing film of the year so far after bringing in $350 million domestically and over $745 million worldwide, also making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, so take that, all of you doubters out there who complained about not being able to take your kids to it.

Twentieth Century Fox has already begun work on a sequel for the film, with Cable announced to be appearing in it, and one other iconic X-Force member rumored to be making her onscreen introduction as well. In the meantime though, fans will only have to wait a little over a month now, before they can relive Wade Wilson’s epic love story on repeat for as long as they could possibly want.

Deadpool will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on May 10th.
