‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Footage Revealed

By December 7, 2015

Last week, we got our very first teaser for next year’s sixth season of HBO’s critically-acclaimed fantasy epic, Game of Thrones, which offered new content regarding Max von Sydow’s Three-Eyed Raven and some eerie foreshadowing involving Jon Snow’s character.

Considering how eagerly fans have been waiting for new information regarding the beloved character’s fate too, the teasers have done a solid job at hinting at the character’s still mysterious future, without ever giving away their answer.

Now, as 2015 draws to a close, HBO has released a new video featurette showcasing some of their accomplishments this year, while also teasing what’s to come in 2016. What does that footage contain you might ask? Just our very first official footage from next year’s season of Game of Thrones.

See for yourself below:

The footage doesn’t reveal all that much, and predictably, there aren’t even any hints regarding our favorite Bastard’s fate. However, we do get our first look at Daenerys Targaryen this season, who had been flown back into Dothraki territory at the end of season 5, with her life resting upon the trail of breadcrumbs she leaves for her supporters.

Cersei is looking considerably better than she did last season as well, with her hair already growing back as she embraces King Tommen once again, with no news regarding Margaery’s fate at the moment either. Again, there isn’t much news to talk about in the footage itself, but for those of you out there that follow this series as if it were homework (myself included) this should be enough for you to lead into a hopefully eventful 2016 with.

Game of Thrones season 6 will premiere on HBO in April 2016.
