‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Premiere Date Revealed, Teaser Trailer Released

By July 27, 2016

Netflix has kept the teasing at the bare minimum over the past several months when it comes to their upcoming four-part Gilmore Girls revival mini-series, titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which will catch back up with a majority of the show’s original characters through four 90-minute episodes – each dedicated to one of the four seasons in a year. However, today the streaming platform has finally let everything loose, so to say.

Per the announcement, A Year in the Life will premiere on November 25th on the streaming platform with all four episodes becoming available on the same day, despite previous reports that they may resort to a more drawn out release schedule for the revival.

In addition to the premiere date as well, Netflix also revealed the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming series. Check it out below:

Usually we want to see our characters and shows evolve over the years, but sometimes when it comes to something like this, I have a feeling fans will take comfort in knowing that some things never change, especially when it comes to the memorable banter between Rory and Lorelai Gilmore.

The trailer isn’t much obviously, mostly composed of just shots of memorable landmarks in Stars Hollow, but the banter between the two central Gilmore Girls is not only based around a pop culture reference like a majority of the best dialogue in the original series as well, but keeps the loving, witty snark between the two characters alive and well also. If one thing’s for sure, it looks like both Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham have slipped into their roles like no time has passed. Thank goodness for that too.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will premiere on Netflix on November 25th.
