J.K. Rowling Visits the Set of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’

By December 3, 2015

It’s official – the writer is in the building.

Something that I think has given Harry Potter fans confidence in the upcoming spin-off trilogy, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has always been J.K. Rowling’s involvement. Not only has the Potter creator been heavily involved in the film’s story, but she was also brought on to be the screenwriter for the film, promising a new movie set in the Wizarding World, completely from the mind of Rowling, and no one else.

It was only a few weeks ago too that we got our first official look at the film, its characters, and some information regarding the story and creatures featured throughout, but as production continues in London right now, it looks like the film just received a very important visit from Rowling herself.

The writer tweeted out the following photo announcing her presence on the set for what seems to be the first time, and it looks like she’s more than happy with what she’s seen so far. Check out the tweet below:

This keeps in line with Rowling’s involvement in the project up until this point too, which will also mark her screenwriting debut. While it’s unknown whether or not she’ll pen the other two films in the trilogy at this point, Potter fans can at least take comfort in knowing that Fantastic Beasts is coming straight from the mind that gave us the original franchise as well. It looks like she’s enjoying it just as much as us too.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to hit theatres on November 18th, 2016.
