It’s been clear ever since the season one finale of the show, that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would be introducing their own version of the Justice Society of America. With the second season additions already including Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heywood, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Vixen, and Patrick J. Adams as Hourman as well, it’s been clear that the series wasn’t going to be wasting any time in establishing a very large and interesting team for itself in the new season, though all of its members are still unknown for the time being.
Currently uncast members of the team also include Obsidian, Stargirl, and Doctor Mid-Nite, who were announced during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel a few weeks ago, and while no new castings have been revealed – we at least have the new Justice Society’s logo for the series, which I imagine will be a major part of the show’s branding and promotional campaign moving forwards.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim excitedly revealed the new logo online late last night, which combines some of the most iconic elements of the team throughout the years:

With the second episode of the new season aptly titled “The Justice Society of America,” it’ll be interesting to see just how long it takes for the entire team to assemble on the show, if it’ll be dragged out throughout the season, or done fairly early on.
We do know that the team will be facing its own version of a Legion of Doom in a way though, with Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) comprising its members. With a huge mega DC TV crossover already in the works for the new season as well, in addition to the formation of those two teams, I think it’s fairly safe to say that season 2 of Legends, an already overly-ambitious show in its own right, is about to get even bigger than we would have ever thought before. Whether or not that’s a good thing though, will have to wait to be seen.
Season 2 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on the CW on October 13th.
