Michael Bay Has A Slightly Off Day At CES 2014, Bails From The Stage During Presentation

By January 6, 2014

Every year, something amazing (and sometimes hilarious) occurs at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) that has everyone talking.

Unfortunately for Transformers director Michael Bay, the talk is about his lapse in reading and hasty exit from the stage during Samsung’s yearly CES presentation after a slight gaff on the teleprompter led to Bay heading for the hills. To explain himself, here’s what Bay had to say:

I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing. But I’m doing a special curved screen experience with Samsung and Transformers 4 footage that will be traveling around the world.

Now that you know the story, check it out in real time (courtesy of Joshua-Kim Campion):

On the bright side, that 150-inch curved screen TV looks freakin’ sweet.
