New ‘Game of Thrones’ Photos Bring Back Littlefinger

By May 11, 2016

Warning: This post will contain spoilers for Game of Thrones this season.

While it wasn’t quite as well-paced or eventful as the previous episode, this past week’s episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones moved ahead several of the key characters storylines, whether it be Jon leaving the Night’s Watch or introducing Daenerys to the fellow Dothraki widows, as well as teasing the re-introduction of several characters that have been missing from this season so far.

It’s looking more and more like the next episode though, titled “Book of the Stranger” is going to focus heavily on Tyrion’s continued ruling of Mereen in Dany’s absence, and will bring the masterful, manipulative Littlefinger back into play again as well.

Several new photos from the episode have surfaced online today as well, which you can check out for yourself below:

got 0604 1 got 0604 2 got 0604 3 got 0604 4 got 0604 5 got 0604 6 got 0604 7 got 0604 8

In addition, the official synopsis for the episode can be found below:

“Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) strikes a deal. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Daario (Michiel Huisman) undertake a difficult task. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey) try to improve their situation.”

Interestingly enough, Jon seems absent from the photos and synopsis above, which could mean that the series might take its focus away from the character for the first time this season. Though with Sansa, Brienne, and Podrick arriving at Castle Black in the coming episode, it’s also possible that the images are being careful to avoid any possible spoilers.

As of right now, maybe the moment to most watch out for in “Book of the Stranger” is going to be Daario and Jorah’s attempt to rescue Dany from the Dothraki, and considering how skilled and brutal of warriors the Dothraki are, I can’t imagine it’s going to be a battle easily won for the two suitors. With Jorah’s greyscale continuing to worsen as well, it seems like his character’s fate may be called into even more question over the next few days leading up to the episode.

Game of Thrones airs every Sunday night on HBO.
