‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 3 Trailer Brings The Shelby Crime Family Back

By May 19, 2016

If you haven’t started watching Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders by now, then I suggest you start soon. The mob series is set in England following the events of the first World War, as Thomas Shelby helps to maneuver his crime-entrenched family into riches and royalty through both legal and illegal methods. With their signature hats (equipped with razor blades in the back) acting as superhero costumes, the series is a crime story epic unlike any other on TV right now.

Netflix obtained the US distribution rights to the series a few years back from the BBC and released the first two seasons relatively quickly after. Now, the third season is set to premiere later this month and in anticipation, Netflix has unveiled the very first teaser for the new season.

Check it out below:

Oh yeah, did I mention that Tom Hardy is in it too?

The new season is set to pick up with Thomas on the night of his wedding, when he’s approached by a secret organization that puts him in the middle of an international arms deal that has the power to change the course of history. With new antagonists waiting in the wings as well, including a White Russian exile with boundless forms of brutality, a Priest with a killer dog, and a manipulative, beautiful duchess – Tommy may be facing his greatest challenge yet.

The new trailer, much like the show itself, is soaked in the purest form of cool, with rock n roll echoing through almost every frame, that only gets further intensified by the exquisite acting from Cillian Murphy and co. It’s one of the best shows on television right now, and I look forward to seeing how its story continues.

Peaky Blinders season 3 will premiere on Netflix on May 31st.
