‘Supergirl’ and ‘The Flash’ Race Each Other in New Crossover Promo

By March 17, 2016

Following the first promo for the upcoming Supergirl and The Flash crossover event on CBS, a new small teaser for the episode has been released as well, previewing the inevitable race between the Scarlet Speedster and the Maiden of Might that was revealed a few weeks ago. In case you were wondering, yes, both Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist look like they’re having one hell of a fun time with this one.

The teaser is short, predictably, and cuts off right before the characters actually start racing, but with the highly-anticipated crossover airing in about eleven days, these teasers are just about perfect for right now.

Check out the latest promo below (via Twitter):

The episode will find Barry Allen, accidentally crossing over into an alternate dimension, where he runs into Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl. Together, the two heroes will not only work together to try and help Barry find a way home, but also to help Supergirl defeat the latest supervillain duo wrecking havoc on her beloved National City.

What has made these crossovers so successful from the beginning, was the creative team’s ability to have an immense amount of fun bringing their characters together, and it looks like they’re bringing that into play here as well. It will be interesting to see how Barry and Kara interact though, and hopefully, the crossover will be able to bridge the gap successfully between the two network-divided DC TV universes. We’ll have to wait and see.

The Flash and Supergirl crossover will air on CBS on Monday, March 28th.
