The latest digital expansion for Star Wars: Battlefront, titled Bespin, will allow players to use new heroes, experience new maps, weapons, vehicles and more, including the additions of Lando Calrissian from the Original Trilogy and Dengar. Basically, you’ll get to experience all of Cloud City in a way you never have before, including getting to take rides in the cloud cars, and taking out your enemies with the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blasters.
In anticipation of the Bespin release as well, EA has unveiled the first official launch trailer for the digital expansion, offering fans their first real look at what they can expect when Bespin arrives.
Check out the trailer below:
Here’s the expansion’s official description/synospis as well:
Join legendary smuggler Lando Calrissian and cold-blooded bounty hunter Dengar in the Cloud City of Bespin. Take to the skies in the new cloud car vehicle and journey through Cloud City and the Administrator’s Palace. The Bespin digital expansion will feature two new blasters to add to your arsenal. No matter your preference of short or long range combat, there will be something new to try out in Cloud City. Hunt enemies within the Bioniip Laboratories or carbon-freezing chambers with the new X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blasters.
Lando and Dengar both feature new traits that will give them unique gameplay abilities. Dengar is a villain that thrives on being in a fight. He wields the DLT-19, which makes him the first Hero with a heavy blaster so far. Lando is very skilled with a blaster too, but his greatest talent comes from knowing the odds and using tricks against his enemies.
Considering how divisive both Battlefront and its digital expansions have been, I can only imagine how well the addition of Bespin may go over with fans. However, for those of you still out there enjoying the hell out of Battlefront and all of its later additions, it looks like this may be one you’ll want to check out. For the additions of Lando and Dengar alone, possibly.
The Bespin digital expansion arrives in June 2016 for season pass holders.
