Three New Character Posters Released for ‘Ghostbusters’

By April 24, 2016

This summer’s Ghostbusters remake, directed by Paul Feig and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones, has been fighting an uphill battle since day one. News of the film, which reimagines the 1984 classic original, inspired cries of “Blasphemy!” and “Childhood ruined!” from the internet (side note: if a movie can ruin your childhood, you had a terrible childhood). Seriously, the makers of Batman v Superman look at the reception this movie’s been getting and think “That’s harsh.”

Personally, I think it looks somewhat promising, mostly because I think there’s too much talent involved with this film for it not to deliver. I’d watch Leslie Jones fight ghosts forever. But regardless of anyone’s opinion, the film’s still coming out in July, and the people behind it are still going to promote the crap out of it. As they should. With that in mind, here are three new character posters featuring Wiig, McKinnon, and Jones (c/o Ghostbusters Twitter):

Seriously, Leslie Jones is the best.

The film will also stars Chris Hemsworth and will feature cameos from original ‘busters Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, and Ernie Hudson. Check out the trailer here

Ghostbusters opens nationwide on July 15, 2016.
