Zack Snyder Addresses ‘Batman V Superman’ Fan Concerns

By January 7, 2016

A while back we covered a spoiler review by a Reddit user who claimed he had seen Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice and proceeded to spill the beans on what he said were spoilers for the film. The user said that he received tickets to a mystery screening and turned out to be the luckiest person of all time ever to have that screening be Batman V. Superman.

The review is still un-confirmed and Zack Snyder for more or less just denied it speaking with MTV, simply calling it “Hilarious.” He did go on to talk about his overall feel on spoilers saying:

Of course I hate it when any spoilers come out! You design the movie as a story that evolves as you watch it, so moment-to-moment (thinking), ‘Oh my god, what’s going to happen next? Are they gonna live? Are they gonna die?’ So you want that experience for the audience, as much as you can. If you’re, as an audience member, exploring these articles, looking for answers to questions that you have, maybe you’re okay with knowing before you go. It’s like an individual taste. But like I said, I want people to see the movie without knowing.

Honestly, I’ll wish I’d never seen a single frame from the film before that wonderous day in March comes. That being said I’d watch a twenty minute trailer right now because I have zero self control.

Snyder went on to address fan complaints that the Doomsday trailer showed too much.

I have the benefit of seeing the movie. It’s cool that they think it’s too much and I appreciate people not wanting to know, but there’s plenty that they don’t know. There’s a lot of movie that’s not in the trailer.

Good to know there are more surprises in store. Now what about that whole Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor thing? Snyder also commented on how fans weren’t too psyched after seeing the way Lex Luthor was portayed in the trailer:

In the trailer, of course he comes across in a very specific way. In the movie, he’s like a million times more sophisticated than what you get in 30 seconds. But that’s also the fun of it. That’s why you go to the movies, so you can actually see the context and understand the depth.

Yeah, so shut it everybody! Kidding.

For better or worse we shall see what Jesse Eisenberg brings to the flick when March comes around and this guy can’t wait. I’d probably watch a black and white german version on my phone with a cracked screen while driving a Nascar race during a thunderstorm in Hell if you gave me the chance. That doesn’t mean I’m right though, it just means I have a problem.
