‘Zootopia’ Releases New Oscars Parody Posters and TV Spot

By February 26, 2016

Disney’s promotional campaign for their upcoming animated film, Zootopia, has been pretty spectacular up until this point, with a trailer that takes the comedy of sloths to a whole new level, holiday-themed posters throughout the past few months, and more. But it looks like Zootopia may have just released their best promotional TV spot and posters yet.

With Oscars Sunday just around the corner, the film has released a new awards season-themed TV spot that plays on some of this year’s biggest Oscar frontrunners. Only this time, animal-themed.

Check out the TV spot below:

That’s not all though. The film has also released some Oscar parody posters for the film as well, including The Hibernant, Steve Paws, Bridge of Sloths, Mad Yax: Furry Road, and Mr. Big Short. Check out the posters below:

The film just looks more and more refreshing, fun, and clever with every new piece of footage and images that get released.

For a movie about talking animals, something the studio has basically trademarked at this point, Zootopia looks like the most ambitious animated film in years. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if the Oscars might honor it for that next year.

Zootopia is set to hit theaters on March 4th.
